CHAPTER 1
Matthew's visiting Twinbrook

In the end, Matthew was so sick of his hectic life in the city and decided to visit his mom. His plan is to spend the whole month in his birthplace, leave his work behind to relax and to keep his life in balance. 

Matthew spent the first week at home. He didn't even bother to go out. It was the first time after so many years he could finally relax and have some quality times with his family.
 

There are only a few business owner at Twinbrook. Matthew's father, Nick Hamming, is one of them. Nick owns a grocery store. He used to dream that one day Mathew will run the business. he gave up his dream long time ago after Mathew decided to go to another direction and chase his dream to be an actor. "Get yourself a girlfriend, son. Don't waste your time or else you're gonna regret it." Nick said to Matthew that day.

CHAPTER 2
A girl who works so hard

For Peggy, everyday is the same old day. However, she enjoys her routine that she had done during the last 5 years. She is so grateful that her life is now so much better than it was, 5 years ago.

Gardening is one thing that she really good at. Her mother Lily Anns, taught her well since she was a kid. It was one nice memory that she has about her mother. But the rest, or at least most of the memory, is painful. Peggy has no memory at all about his father. Her mother said that her father died when Peggy was a baby. She never told Peggy why or even who, and Peggy never dared to ask.

In the afternoon, Peggy always come to the grocery store to work a double job. She sells the harvested fruits and vegetables from her own garden to the store, and then do a part time job as a clerk. Peggy is so lucky that she met Mr. Nick Hamming, the owner of the store 5 years ago. She remembers that she was facing the hardest situation in her life when Mr. Hamming suddenly came to her and helped her. He told her that he knew her mother and that he wanted to help Peggy. He, thereafter, offered peggy to work at his store. He also gave her a sack of grains for her to plant. Peggy felt most grateful to him.

CHAPTER 3

The first time

"Sale everyone.. 20% only for today!! Well hello sir.. You should stop by to our store. We're having a discount day today." Peggy said with a cheerful tone. Just a few second later she suddenly realize that it is  the famous Matthew Hamming who is standing right in front of her eyes. "I can't believe my eyes.. Matthew Hamming is in Twinbrook!"

"Ssshhh... lady, please... Not too........" Before he could finish, everyone nearby seems to get noticed and swarm the Hamming's market. Even the local journalist doesn't want to miss the chance. Girls are getting crazy. They were asking for an autograph, take a picture, and even asked for a kiss or two. Peggy was just starring at a rare moment happened in Twinbrook. The police then come straight away to curb the situation. There were too many people crowding the place that caused the jam. Matthew thanked to the police for helping him avoid the crowd. Peggy apologized straight away to Matthew for causing him trouble. "Don't worry.. I'm used to it. By the way, may I know your name miss?" "I'm Peggy. Peggy Anns. I work for your father. He's the nicest person I've ever known." "Well miss Peggy it's nice to see you. You're beautiful. A lady with a face like you could be famous." "Thanks Mr. Hamming." "No, just call me Matthew. You know, I might be back again tomorrow to buy some stuff. See you tomorrow Peggy Anns" " See you tomorrow...... Matthew."

On his way home, Matthew keeps thinking about Peggy. Such a perfect face. He wonders if she could act, or sing, or play the piano or..... "What am I thinking? I'm here for vacation! I need to stop thinking about work and relax." Matthew keeps telling himself over and over again. But he just couldn't get rid of her beautiful face. He found it strange that he never felt this way before. "Is this some kind of lovestruck?" He yelled to himself. Then finally he has an idea. If this is love, he has to find out himself. If it is not, then he will know. "Tomorrow.. I'll see her again tomorrow."

CHAPTER 4

Dec 21st. Peggy Anns is a new date!!

It was only one week after Matthew meets Peggy. The whole town seems to have a Hamming fever. People can't stop stuffing their ears with a fresh new gossip everyday about Matthew and Peggy, who is now famous and being called a Cinderella. Peggy, who always come to work at the Hamming store doesn't know about a surprising thing that is going to be happen. There is Matthew who is already in front of the store early in the morning. With a smile on his face and rose in his hands, he is coming closer and ask her to be his date tonight. "Yes.." She said. Smiling back to Matthew.

It was the best restaurant in Town and Matthew booked the whole place for Peggy. That day Peggy looks beautiful. They eat, chat, and laugh together. Matthew realizes that they are getting closer each and everyday. She is a very good listener who could make him calm.

Matthew asks Peggy to dance with him. She is a very good dancer. She knows the step. Matthew's heart is beating louder and louder as their body are getting close. His eyes meet her eyes. The desire is almost unbearable. But then he decide to do something else. "I want you to come to my house at Christmas eve." "Your house?.." "Yes.. would you?...." Peggy doubt at first. Go to his house means she's going to meet the Hamming. All of them. She is very happy but isn't sure if it's a good idea. "Do you think it's a good idea?" "Yes, why not? My father would be happy to see you." "Okay.. I'll go. Thanks for inviting me. That would be my first Christmas eve."

For the first time Matthew feels something that he thought he would never feel. She is the first who could make him feel this way. They kissed and kissed.. And Mathew still don't don't know if it is real. But one thing for sure is that he wants her more.

CHAPTER 5

Meet the Hamming

It's Christmas eve. The Hamming has been set a family dinner at their mansion. Matthew told his parents that there will be a special guest who will join the dinner. "She is important." Matthew said to his parents.

At 6.45 pm, Matthew picked up Peggy. They were arrive at Matthew's house at 7 sharp. "Mom, dad, I want you to meet Peggy Anns." "Ah.. my son has told me about you Peggy. Welcome to our house."

"Last time I saw you, you were just a little girl. And now look how you have grown." Peggy is relieved knowing that Matthew's parents don't mind with her presence. Surrounded by a warm hearted family, inflicts a peaceful feelings in her heart. Matthew is glad that everything goes well. That day, he could see that Peggy is a person he wants to be with. 

"Nick, would you help me cleaning the dishes?" Matthew's mom said to her husband. "Sure, honey." "I can help too Mrs. Hamming" "O, no need Peggy. You're our guest. Just stay here with Matthew." Finally they were alone. Matthew thinks that it is his chance to tell Peggy his true feeling. "Peggy Anns.. You are my heart desire.. you're the one I always wished for.. and I need you by my side."
